Hurricane Harvey

Our hearts, prayers, and thoughts go out to our friends, family, and clients who have been affected by the tragic damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.  As we watched the storm continue to wreak havoc in Texas and Louisiana, our team decided we had to do something to help.

How can you help?

To assist with relief efforts, Mountainseed will be donating 20% of all evaluation net proceeds completed through September in the affected areas of Texas or Louisiana to the Red Cross to help these residents and communities rebuild after the storm.

Many of these properties will need to be reassessed with full inspections, and possibly require a full re-appraisal to accurately access the current market value. As for environmental assessments, financial lenders will also need to be aware of the storm’s effects on mold, groundwater, and vapor intrusion on many properties in the surrounding areas. Our amazing team knows how to appraise and evaluate for damage like this, so we are ready to help.

If you’d like more information from the Interagency Appraisal Guidelines, check out page 14 for the “Validity of Appraisals and Evaluations” and page 20 and 21 – section A. “Monitoring Collateral Values.” In the OCC Handbook you’ll want to read over pages 60 and 70. As you’re reviewing these documents, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all — we know you have so much to deal with so are here to help any way we can.

Fill out the form below if you would like to learn more or hear about how we can help with your evaluations.

Also, we will be tracking our donations on the blog so you can see how much is going directly to the Red Cross to help save lives and rebuild communities.
